Dakabend is crafted high in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca by brothers Edgar and Elisandro Gonzales in the remote pueblo of San Cristóbal Lachirioag. Made from fresh high-mountain sugarcane and distilled on a mezcal copper pot still, it reflects the purity of its land and the heritage of mezcal artisanship.
Using fresh cane juice—never molasses—Dakabend Awarded “Best Rum” at the 2019 Cocktail Spirits event in Paris, it stands as a true expression of Oaxaca’s craft traditions.
